Witch on an Airplane
Customs officials in Dubai, the largest metropolis in the United Arab Emirates, demonstrated their unwavering diligence when they discovered unusual things in the suitcase of an unidentified African man at Dubai International Airport. Among the objects confiscated were a dried monkey hand, spell books, and a live snake.
All of the items in his suitcase were reportedly connected to witchcraft accouterments. A customs officer informed the news portal Emirates Today that suspicions about a passenger arriving from an unidentified African nation surfaced as a result of the attentiveness and knowledge of a customs inspector.
As a result, the traveler and his belongings were manually inspected.
During the inspection, a live snake was found behind other items in a bag. Upon closer examination, a dead bird, a monkey’s hand, cotton-wrapped eggs, and other objects commonly used in witchcraft rituals — such as spells, talismans, and annotations on papers — were also discovered.
For authentication, all seized materials were given to the Competent Authority, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai.
