Willy Wonka Experience? And a Horror Movie is coming soon.
A chocolate river, edible flowers, and Oompa Loompas are running around in the enchanted, vibrant world of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. However, what was advertised as an immersive experience during a “Willy Wonka” event in Glasgow, Scotland, proved subpar. Some ticket holders phoned the police when they arrived with their children.
There wasn’t even chocolate, according to Stuart Sinclair, a father who drove two hours with his three children and spent $44 for a ticket to the event, as reported by CBS News’ Anne-Marie Green. “That was the worst part about it,” he stated.
He claimed that their “very, very poor job” of decorating the event space — a warehouse — was evident. Images of drab decorations barely occupying a massive warehouse have become popular.
“Chocolate fountains, enormously immersive experience, and fantastic ideas for the youngsters were all mentioned. It seemed pleasant, an enjoyable day for the kids and the family,” Sinclair remarked. “And as you can see from the photos and other materials, it was nothing like that when we arrived. There were four or five props and a few jellybeans for the children. A half-cup of lemon juice. Said, it was not at all what was promised.”
