Someone stole the Excalibur Sword

Do you remember the Excalibur sword, which was supposed to be stuck in a rock for centuries? It’s vanished! Not a hoax. Someone took it. Who would take it? Maybe the aliens took it? And they want to rule the world. Maybe, I don’t know. I have wild thoughts.

The Excalibur sword, a historical relic and a mainstay of local folklore was believed to be indestructible and lodged in solid rock, a testament to the enduring power of myth and legend in our culture.

The mythology of Durandal, steeped in the era of chivalry, tells of its wielder, the brave knight Roland, a legendary figure in France.

Roland received the sword from the great emperor Charlemagne. It was rumored to possess the fantastic ability to split stones in half. Its origin is a heavenly mystery, as the tradition goes that an angelic creature gave the blade to Charlemagne.

In the quaint cliffside village of Rocamadour, Durandal has been perched 32 feet above the earth in a rock face for centuries. But the sword was missing on what appeared to be a typical Monday, which sparked a wave of worry and prompted the start of a police investigation.

But who would take it?

Despite the village’s reputation for safety, the bold theft of the Excalibur sword has left many with unanswered questions…
