Burchett also entertained the notion that aliens might be hiding underwater, though he expressed no concern about them posing a threat.

Between May 2023 and June 2024, AARO received a total of 757 new incident reports. This includes 485 reports during this period and another 272 that originated from 2021 and 2022, which had not been reported before. This marks a notable increase compared to last year’s figures, which recorded only 281 new reports during its review period. Pentagon officials stated on Thursday that this rise reflects an increased awareness about reporting UAP incidents rather than an actual increase in their frequency.

He has often said that he thinks the U.S. government is concealing information about encounters with extraterrestrials.
