The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
For the first time since leaving a Missouri prison early on Thursday morning, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has been sighted.
Gypsy was spotted wheeling a suitcase and carrying two plastic bags as she left a facility. Gypsy was convicted of killing her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, and serving eight years in jail for it. Ryan Scott Anderson, her spouse, was nearby, pushing a bulky bag toward his vehicle.
Gypsy was given parole earlier this year. The Missouri Department of Corrections verified that she was freed from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri at approximately 3:30 a.m. local time.
In a pre-release exclusive interview, she declared, “I’m ready for freedom,” to a reporter.
“I’m ready to expand for every facet of my life.”
After Dee Dee was stabbed to death, Gypsy and her lover at the time, Nick Godejohn, were accused of killing her. In 2016, Gypsy entered a guilty plea and received a 10-year sentence. Last year, while incarcerated, she wed Anderson, a special education teacher from Louisiana.
The Springfield News-Leader, KY3, and KOAM reported at the time that Godejohn, 32, was found guilty of first-degree murder at trial and was subsequently sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in 2019.
