The Henn Theater and the Ghostly Boy

We can’t go anywhere during the pandemic that we have now, and if we did, we would still get it anyway and not know it. So far, my dad and I are lucky. The exciting part is that we took mini-vacation and traveled in North Carolina; we live in North Carolina. We wore masks, a shield for the face, and gloves. We look weird. Looking weird and being protective is the sure way to be protective of what we are having now.

The place we visit is The Henn Theater in Murphy, NC. This is the gorgeous and nostalgic theater that I have ever been to, and it is a family-owned business. It is one of the 23 theaters run by P.J. Henn survived the Great Depression. In 2009, it was damaged by a fire but was reopened in 2017.

The place is gorgeous with a vintage red and white sign, and the show board that was illuminated in the old fashion flashing bulbs made it seem to draw us to come inside. Mulan was showing, and of course, the seats were clean. We made sure. We carry our wipes to double-check the cleaning.

They had original copies of classic movie posters of all sorts framed on the wall, and everything seemed to be original other than the soda machines and popcorn maker.

The walls of the Henn Theater were repainted, and the floor tiles too. To my surprise, my dad and I were the only people in the whole theater, and this is…
