Twin Bridges Orphanage in Montana

In 1894, the Montana State Orphanage in Twin Bridges, Montana, was established, then it was renamed The Montana State Children Center. It houses over 5,000 children over 81 years before it was closed in 1975. A team of paranormal investigators investigated the area, and they could not believe it. It was like a house of horrors.

Leslie Adams currently owns the property. She claims to hear children singing in the abandoned structures on the site when Leslie was a caretaker of the building in 2007.

Some of the youngsters that were placed in the orphanage never returned. There have been numerous reports of abuse and neglect. There’s a plaque in the Twin Bridges cemetery with a list of names honoring the children who perished there.

Many of the remaining structures are outdated and damaged, yet there are still relics of the orphanage’s heyday. Relics of the past include old pairs of shoes, abandoned theaters, and swimming pools.

In the 1930s, this institution was a torture place where children were abused and left by their parents because they could not take care of them. The siblings were separated, and they could not spend time together to talk or play together. This reminds me of Geraldo Rivera’s Wilowbrook the Last Great Disgrace, but with children. They were left alone.
