The Haunting on Lindley Street
In November 1974, Lindley Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the city became the epicenter of the most documented hauntings in Connecticut history.
A small bungalow-style home owned by Gerard and Laura Goodin was said to be under attack by supernatural forces that were in charge of perplexing and terrifying everyone who entered the house by moving furniture, smashing windows, levitating objects, making a cat talk, and other miscellaneous oddities.
Police, firefighters, press reporters, clergy members, paranormal investigators, and Ed and Lorraine Warren were brought in as the situation worsened. An international haunting sensation was created due to the large crowds who gathered in the street to try and see the alleged inexplicable phenomenon that was reportedly besieging the house.
In contrast to other “hauntings,” this case was particularly captivating. It attracted much attention due to the many supposedly trustworthy witnesses who claimed to have personally witnessed the peculiar actions.
