Phelps Dodge Hospital in Ajo Arizona

If you feel dizzy or nauseous and need to go to a hospital, you don’t need to go to a hospital, just a big scare to wake yourself up. Phelps Dodge Hospital in Ajo, Arizona, is abandoned and haunted and sits adjacent to the mining area near the Mexican border. During the early years, miners would get killed by digging or collapsing tunnels to find gold or other elements needed to keep the community alive. Copper is known to fuel the paranormal.

The building is not empty, but with venges sprits. Even though the abandoned hospital is thirty thousand square feet and sits on four acres of land, next to it is the New Cornelia Pit Mine with a hole that is 1,100 feet deep, and it was the lifeblood of the community.

Caretakers and witnesses have heard violent screams when the patients are awoken from surgery. A strong scent of sulfur would linger in the air and a fantastic way to repel snakes. When other paranormal teams come in to investigate the area, the spirits would physically attack them and tell them to “Get Out!” By grabbing and lifting them off the floor. The spirits wanted you out of the building!

They even have camps for the miners and their families to stay on the property. So even though the nurses vaccinated the children for TB and polio, the diseases were still contagious to adults and taking their lives.
