According to an expert, social housing tenants should be told if they are haunted. According to tax lawyer and ghost hunter Alan Murdie, he hears from tenants, licensees, and people who believe they have been haunted.
“Councils don’t listen or can’t understand. It may or may not be something paranormal, but they should take it seriously.”
Two reports had been registered in five years in Kensington, west London, where Alan’s Ghost Club is based.
It’s usually a sign of social stress when people give candid reports about these situations. My experience with housing issues and homelessness over the past 30 years is the worst I’ve ever seen.

“So if some of that is leading to an increase in reports of ghost phenomena, I’m not surprised.”
In the case of ghost sightings, Alan suggests structural problems, extreme weather conditions, or an excessive dose of medication.
