Stairway to Hell

Who was a big fan of the TV series Supernatural on the CW network? I was. However, I just found out that Stull Cemetery was a natural cemetery. And very creepy.

This cemetery is said to have a stairway that leads directly to hell rather than heaven. It is one of seven alleged locations on Earth where individuals who are still alive can pass into the realm of the damned. If you are an evil person, you go to hell. The staircase only occurs once a year when an unseen stairway descends into a grave, and ultimately, the underworld is suddenly uncovered. Most tellings of the story place it at Halloween’s stroke of midnight. Some claim that the spring equinox marks the opening of the stairway to hell.

Thus, if you ever locate these stairs, you must never descend them since you will never return. Seriously, don’t go there. No joking.

From then, the stories diverge; some say that on Halloween night, Satan himself appears to conduct court in the graveyard cursed by the dead. According to some tales, Satan visits his infant son’s tomb, while others claim that the Prince of Darkness is visiting the grave of a witch who was his son’s mother and who also makes an appearance as a werewolf.
