Sea Monster on the Coast of North Carolina?
Many web users wonder if the Tar Heel State is home to a new aquatic monster after discovering a weird marine creature off the coast of North Carolina.
According to News & Observer, on January 3, Chasin Tails Outdoors Bait & Tackle in Atlantic Beach, close to the Bogue Sound, posted a video to its Facebook page asking followers what they thought the critter might be. A massive, black, unidentified animal can be seen in the video, which the charter boat Capt. captured. Daniel Griffee, peeking out of the water and swimming away while vibrating close to the surface.
“Something you don’t see every day…. WHALES or the [Loch] NESS MONSTER in the Port this morning,” the post states, adding that the shop has “never seen one inside the inlet like this.”
By Thursday afternoon, more than 132,000 people had watched the film, which may be seen below.
Facebook fans rushed the comments section after the store posted the video earlier this week with their theories on what the creature might be, including alligators, manatees, lost whale calves…
