Netflix Original Series: Haunted
The 2018 Netflix original series Haunted tells spooky tales of real people who have seen evil head-on. Many viewers were alarmed by a Season 2 episode of the show that describes a nurse’s experience with a possessed patient at a nursing home.
Hospitals and nursing homes give me the creeps.
But as horrific as they come is the Slaughterhouse episode from Season 1, in which two sisters confess that their father was a serial killer.
Once their father took in “strays” from the streets and bars, they spent their infancy surrounded by the dreadful sounds of people being murdered.
Their father dumped the bodies of his victims in the woods where they lived, which was a few acres of forest land. The sisters thought that the killings caused their home to become haunted. They also considered their father was possessed because of sinister possessed woods.
After the episode sparked controversy, many viewers doubted the veracity of the sisters’ allegations on Twitter.
