Mothman in Chernobyl

University of Buffalo nuclear physicist Andrei Kharsukhov recalls hearing someone begging for help at the Chernobyl power plant in 1997. He was visiting the iconic “Ground Zero” of the Chernobyl tragedy and said he arrived at 7:30 a.m. and immediately walked to the Reactor 4 sarcophagus. He hurried back upstairs and told those who let him in what he saw while taking readings since he could hear someone faintly, though desperately, screaming for aid in putting out a fire. However, they informed him that he was the first to enter the facility in three years.

Not only that, but they also reminded him that he needed a password to get in, a handprint to enter, and that anyone entering without their permission would have triggered an alarm.

If that wasn’t unusual enough, residents of the neighborhood began experiencing strange occurrences before the accident in early April 1986. Power plant workers claimed to have seen a gigantic, black bird-like creature with a twenty-foot wingspan and enormous, glowing red eyes, which became known as the “Black Bird of Chernobyl.” Those who saw this ghost also reported having bad dreams and receiving threatening phone calls, which got worse right up until the morning of the tragedy on April 26, 1986.

Many academics believe the “Mothman caused the events at Chernobyl,” a strange creature that was said to have terrorized the community of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, soon before the Silver Bridge collapsed on December 15, 1967, killing 46 people. They further claim that historical evidence reveals that this entity is a forerunner of death because Mothman-like creatures have been seen elsewhere in the past. But, like with Chernobyl and the Silver Bridge, the phenomenon hasn’t been seen since.

The Destination Truth team from the SyFy channel was stunned to see what appeared to be a human figure on an infrared camera system running inside Reactor 4 while doing a paranormal investigation of Chernobyl, notably the wreckage of Reactor 4.

What’s next? Will bigfoot be spotted near Northwestern California?
