If you are a Filipino, then you probably know about the urban legend of Maria Labo; this is one of the most exciting and horrifying cases I have ever researched.
Maria Labo is from the province of Capiz. The Labo family was a happy one. She was married to a kind and loving man and had a son. However, Maria Labo decided to work abroad in England due to her family’s needs.
Her employer treated her well, but she didn’t realize he was a vampire. In the months during which she worked as an employee, Maria served as both a maid and caretaker. Her employer always fed Maria half-cooked liver.
Maria began to feel unwell after months of working for him. She had no idea she’d consumed some of her vampire boss’s blood. Maria returned to the Philippines to live with her family due to an unidentified ailment.
Maria’s spouse was a cop. After her husband arrived home from work one day, Maria informed him that she had already made dinner. “Where is our son?” Maria’s husband inquired as he sat down at the table. “Our boy is right there!” Maria exclaimed. Maria’s husband didn’t understand what she was saying. He had no idea that the steak he had eaten earlier that day was their son!
