I see you. Boo!

The new Barie movie that came out recently is fantastic for the whole family.

However, the next doll is creepy. Researchers have traced Lily’s ancestry back to the early 1600s and found evidence of occult practices, paganism, and the importation of warding powers from Europe by the Dutch colonists of Lower Manhattan.

As part of an ancient tradition that dates back to the Vikings and the Romans, handmade miniatures like Lily were put outside to frighten away neighborhood spirits and ghosts from the New World. As a form of defense, conquerors from other places carried a bit of their legend. The original Lily was given to an organization conducting a paranormal investigation by its owner, who said: “I found her outside my door one morning with a message that spoke to not put her by mirrors or in the same room I sleep in.

Come out, come out to wherever you are!

She was supposed to drain the batteries on the flashlight I gave her, but instead, she made my lights flicker at night. My dog would gaze at her, and my cat would avoid her. I would occasionally be startled out of a deep slumber by the scent of burnt toast or sweet fruit. Red is her favorite color. That’s all I’m aware of.
