Lights in the Sky at 30,000 Feet Up in the Air
Objects appearing well above the cloud line — at altitudes commonly occupied by commercial planes — were seen on film by a passenger on a flight from Chicago (ORD) to Newark (EWR), like lights in the sky at 30,000 feet in the sky, sounds like a TV episode from a long time ago.
Officials have blamed “drones” for the sightings, but the public is becoming increasingly skeptical because regular drones can’t reach such incredible heights.
On United Airlines flight UA2359. On December 16, 2024, an eyewitness who went by the pseudonym “EasilyAmusedEE” posted a video of these strange things. Using an iPhone 16 Pro Max, they started recording about 20 minutes into the flight and kept spotting the objects here and there.
Not only did the objects have a unique look, but they were also moving, visible, and flashing blue lights, all of which the eyewitness noticed could not be seen with the human eye.
Commercial planes usually fly at altitudes of 30,000 to 35,000 feet, well above the clouds, which rarely rise above 12,000 feet. Technological and regulatory constraints limit the maximum altitude that consumer drones may fly.
