Is Julia Stuck in the Abyss of the Ocean?
It makes sense that the world’s oceans’ depths have long been a source of myth, intrigue, and frightening stories.
Since the moon can block the sun and the ocean sea floors are their own planets, it would be impossible to live underwater because the sea floor is like a planet in the ocean.
As the saying goes, we know more about the moon’s surface than we do about the sea floors of our planet, with over 80% of its oceans still uncharted.
Therefore, it should not be surprising that the waves give rise to many phenomena that defy the explanations of even the most experienced experts.
One such mystery was discovered on March 1, 1999, when an unexplained sound was detected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) deep within the eastern equatorial Pacific.
To record the audio, a variety of hydrophones, or microphones that pick up sound waves underwater, placed hundreds of kilometers apart were used.
The sound was unsettlingly loud enough to be heard throughout the area, and it had the uncanny appearance of a woman’s voice muttering or humming. It sounded creepy.
For this reason, the name “Julia” was given to it in the feminine because it sounded different underwater.
