This Hotel is haunted!

Arizona’s most haunted location is on Route 66, an hour’s drive north of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Travel and Leisure reports that the Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff, which formerly hosted well-known celebrities, is home to some major haunts.

According to the travel magazine, a regular visitor in room 305 has never checked out. An elderly hotel guest lounged in a rocking rocker beside the window for years. Staff members have claimed to have seen the woman’s ghostly apparition sitting in the chair, which is said to have started moving on its own after she passed away.

However, since it was constructed in 1927, the hotel has spooked up a lot of ghost stories.

There are many spooky encounters listed on the hotel’s website:

  • It’s said that the spirit of a bank robber who passed away in the lounge says “Good morning!” to patrons and employees from the afterlife.
  • The ghosts of prostitutes who were killed and thrown to the street below are rumored to haunt room 306.
  • There are rumors that Room 220 is the afterlife residence of the Flesh Man, an 80s boarder who hanged raw flesh from his chandelier. According to legend, he passed away in the room, and when a staff member discovered it was cleaned, the TV was on, and the bedding was all over the place…
