Haunted Elizabeth V. Edwards School will be Demolished.

Inside Elizabeth V. Edwards School, there is not much indication of life. Since the final group of students left the building in 2004, it has stayed empty. However, some school administrators think the structure, which has housed both a high school and an elementary school since it was finished in 1930, is still inhabited by a ghostly spirit.
People who used to work there claim that the “good ghost” spends her time slamming lockers, turning lights on and off, and playing 1940s music for no reason, along with perhaps a few of her deceased coworkers. When Cox started working there in 2006, there were stories that the Edwards building was haunted. His office is just next to the defunct school. The retired New York City homicide detective dismissed the idea at the time.
“I guess I was a little bit of a skeptic,” Cox said. But, today, he’s far less skeptical.
According to Cox, Barnegat school administrators ceased hosting lessons at Edwards in 2004 because maintaining the structure…
