Clamsell Hospital : very Haunted

The Governor-General of Canada, Lord Alexander, established the Charles Camsell Hospital in 1946, and it closed its doors in 1996, partly owing to asbestos.

This hospital was named after Charles Camsell (1876–1958), a geologist and mapmaker dedicated to exploring Canada’s north. It was located in the Inglewood Area in northwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In the 1950s, the original part of the building held a tuberculosis sanatorium that mainly served aboriginal patients. Some people were compelled to enter hospitals, and patients with specific “defects” were sterilized without consent. The hospital is haunted because it has seen more than its fair share of the dark and terrible side of human sorrow.

The original Charles Camsell Hospital building was constructed in Edmonton, Alberta, in approximately 1913. Until 1942, when the American Army took over, the facility was utilized as a Jesuit College for boys.

The Americans expanded the property with many detached frame structures. The entire location was a holding and forwarding center for American Army men and civilian engineers working on the Alaska Highway.

The property and equipment were then sold to the Government of Canada, which was utilized to establish the Edmonton Military Hospital by the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. A…
