Haunted Beijing China
If you’ve been watching the Beijing Olympics, then you know that it’s a beautiful place to visit during the winter period. Everything is covered with snow, and it is bitterly cold in the morning. I think it would be better in the summer as well. Getting to know these places will send shivers down your spine since it is the world’s oldest civilization. Not because of the cold, but because of its haunted history.
The Forbidden City, Beijing
The Forbidden City is a must-see attraction on any trip to China, but did you know that poltergeists and ghosts also haunt the Imperial Palace?
The imperial palace, built over 600 years ago during the Ming and Qing dynasties, has seen more than its fair share of executions. Betrayal and disobedience were frequent, and anyone who defied the emperor’s authority was quickly deposed. It wasn’t just the emperor who concocted spooky tales for Halloween. Eunuchs would go to any extent to further their quest for dominance, and jealous concubines, spiteful servants, and envious guards would often poison one another in the most devious of ways.
