Godzilla VS Kong: The Review
What’s a perfect date movie during the pandemic? It’s Godzilla vs. King Kong (2021). It’s like watching couples fighting who gets who pays for the tickets — or watching the presidential debate on a larger scale. Or watching the biggest blockbuster movie that came out during the Cold War was Demon Seed (1977) and the small film known as Star Wars (1977). Can Godzilla VS King Kong be the next blockbuster during the pandemic we have today?
It was supposed to be Tenet (2020) which was supposed to bring the people to the movie theaters last year. But it had a limited release, and people did try to go out and see the movie.
But we still have to wear a mask to the movie theaters. We have to purchase our tickets and get snacks. And when we entered the theater auditorium, we must leave two seats and stay within our group.
For me, I tried the closed-captioning glasses, which were big on my face. I look funny, but I want to read the actors’ dialog, which is quite good. I also watch it in 3D. So I had the closed-captioning glasses, the 3D glasses, and my mask. I looked awkward. I wanted the cinematic experience. With the cinematic experience, they could have given me a helmet with everything in it.
