Ghost Haunts NYU and Terrifying Stories from the Students
Among the many ghosts and spirits that have scared NYU students are the notorious Brittany Residence Hall ghost and mysterious dorm apparitions. After reading these chilling student ghost stories, I realized that neither this city nor you can sleep or have nightmares.
Hillary Osei, a sophomore at CAS, had a terrifying experience in Gramercy Green Residence Hall a few weeks ago, just in time for Halloween.
“I woke up in my dorm in the middle of the night to find this pale figure standing beside my bed,” Osei said.
At first, she assumed it was her roommate.
“But then I looked at the corner of my eye, and I saw that my roommate was sleeping soundly on her bed,” she said. “I looked again, and the thing was still there.”
The spirit remained after Osei blinked a few times, so she had to figure out what to do next.
“I was going to tell the ghost to f-ck off, but I heard that you aren’t supposed to talk to ghosts/spirits, so I sucked my teeth, turned my back towards the ghost, put my comforter over my head, and went back to sleep,” Osei said.
There might also be spirits living at Founders Residence Hall. Shayli Reagan, a student at Tisch, experienced several paranormal activities there last year.
