Getting a Haircut for $5 at a Haunted Barbershop
This time, the salon’s very existence acted as an unsettling event rather than the backdrop for any paranormal activities. While strolling along a steep, dark street in San Francisco with an old friend, Aaron Levinson noticed a shop window that didn’t appear to belong. The modest barbershop has chairs made of crimson leather. The barber was inside, and the lights remained on. Aaron found it interesting that despite today’s high prices, a storefront sign provided a $5 haircut.
The next day, Aaron returned to the street, eager to unravel the mystery of the barbershop. But to his surprise, the store was nowhere to be found. When he asked an older man for directions, he learned that the last barbershop on that street had closed many years ago. The man accompanied Aaron to where the barbershop should have been, but they only found a residential home. The mystery deepened.
Aaron was not a true believer in ghosts, which adds to the intrigue of this story. Aaron, a self-described “scientific agnostic,” is the son of an architect who organizes a bimonthly debate on scientific subjects. He is now an evidence-based person who is receptive to the unlikely, such as long-gone barbershops resurfacing.
“Provided he gets a good haircut at a fair price.” And not the present.
This one is truly bizarre and true.
