Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery in Chicago
The Bachelor’s Grove Chicago cemetery, one of the country’s most spooky locations, opened its doors in 1844. The number of reports of hauntings peaked in the 1970s and 1980s, including everything from phantom cars to strange orbs. According to legend, even a ghostly farmhouse is said to scare its victims by floating toward them before dissipating into thin air.
It wouldn’t be nice to go to the cemetery alone. Or even a shortcut through the woods. Suppose you missed a family member and wanted to spend more time. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Max from Stranger Things did the same thing. She tried to contact her brother but ended up conjuring something Evil, which wasn’t her brother. Instead, it was Vecna, the darkness of Evil and the upside-down world.
The best way to get out of her friends’ evil trance is to blast Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God) by Kate Bush into her ears, which apparently works. Max ran to the opening portal to get away from Vecna. Either that, she would have been the next victim! Being crunch to death!
So, don’t go to the cemetery alone after sunset. You will never know what could follow you at home.
