If you’re a fan of Avril Lavigne’s music, you’re not alone. Her popularity from the early 2000s has endured, and her voice continues to captivate listeners today.

One of the “complicated” lives she had was when she recuperated from Lyme disease, and she vanished after a while with the disease.

One of the weird and crazy conspiracy theorists claims that she died in 2003 at the height of her fame and was replaced with a body double name, Melissa Vandella, just because she had Lyme disease.

Well, she is alive and healthy.

But are we sure? Is that Avril Lavigne? In 2011, rumors fueled by a Brazilian Blog and social media suggested she died and was replaced by Melissa Vandella just because she had Lyme disease. The Brazilian Blog is the worst to read.

Despite its extensive dissemination, the theory that Avril Lavigne was ever replaced by someone else has never been shown to be accurate. This doubt is evident in Lavigne’s response to the notion as well. During a recent podcast interview, the 39-year-old singer thought the idea funny.

“I mean, it’s just funny to me,” she said. “On one end, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, my God, you look the exact same. You haven’t aged a day.’ But then, other people are like, there’s a conspiracy theory that I’m not me.”
