An Alien Message to Humans on Earth

Andrew Gardner of Southern TV provided the early-evening news on Saturday, November 26, 1977. 17:10 the TV picture had a deep buzz and a minor wobble. A garbled voice replaced the audio and spoke for about six minutes.

The man introduced himself as Vrillon, an Ashtar Galactic Command operative.

Shortly after the remark was delivered, the disruption stopped, and just before a Looney Tunes cartoon ended, communications resumed as usual. Southern Television apologized later in the evening for some viewers’ “breakthrough in sound.” ITN covered the incident in its own late-night Saturday bulletin.

Speaking to you now is Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command. You have seen us as lights in the sky for a long time.

As we have done to your brothers and sisters throughout Earth, we speak to you today in knowledge and peace. For you to inform your fellow beings of the path you need to pursue to avert the catastrophe that threatens your world and the beings in our worlds nearby, we have come to warn you of the fate of your race and the world.
